Builders of greatness liberate themselves with the “Genius of the ‘AND’ ― paraphrased from Jim Collins. This week we explore solutions, possibilities, and potentials that exist as we release ourselves from the bondage of the known and step into the unknown, where paradoxes play.

The Tyranny of the “OR”: Jim Collins reminds us that, “Builders of greatness are comfortable with paradox. They don’t oppress themselves with the “Tyranny of the ‘OR’”, which pushes people to believe that things must be either A OR B, but not both.” This week we look at the ways that the OR has kept us in bondage and some of the solutions that exist in the third way

This journey of paradox calls us to curiosity and a willingness to stay in the question rather than know the answer. This uncertainty leads to vulnerability, which can be challenging. Luckily, there are tools we can use along the way to remember that playfulness is the key, even in the midst of challenges.

Do you find yourself attached to certain beliefs, ideas, and perspectives? Is there a wrong way and a right way of doing things? What if there was a Third Way that brought limitless benefits? Good News! There is!

What if there was a way to embrace all of the contradictory ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives of the world instead of having to pick sides? There is! We can develop our paradox mindset, the ability to hold multiple opposite ideas at once, and in doing so find solutions to the greatest challenges our world faces.

Living by example and loving each other, regardless of our differences, is the perfect way to create a world that works for everyone
